High pitched whining noise/amplified when touching laptop

Hi @all

got a Asus Laptop, bought in August 2010 , and it makes a high pitched whining sound and it amplifies everything when touched. Any idea what that might could be.
It is hard to explain. Wish I could give you more infos.

Windows 7 (64-bit) is the OS

This is likely a system fan or possibly a hard drive sounds like a spinning part, try cleaning your fans/vent openings with compressed air to start with and go from there.

Ok, we found the problem. Someone turned the internal microphone on. I disabled it and no weird noises anymore. This thread can be closed.
