working on a clean computer among other things... turns out my 2nd pc also has this same infection, i just never noticed it before because i use chrome which has no active-x ability anyway. that put suspicion on my USB drive but i've since managed to confirm it's clean, so the problem must have come from a website i accessed from both computers, possibly web-based mail? there's a third older one which i've also been able to confirm is clean, so i think i'll be able to use it for the stuff u told me to do, just need a chance to get to the shop, haven't burnt a cd in years!
appreciate your sticking with this!
