Hi, Sorry for the simple question. But I have a re-direct virus and am trying to download MalwareBytes onto a thumbdrive here at work to take home and run on my infected home computer. However, depending on where I search for the file to download, I end up with different files. The file downloaded directly from MalwareBytes (via CNET) is ARO2011_tbt.exe. But when I download a file here from BleepingComputer's Spyware Removal instructions guide, it downloads mbam-setup.exe. Is one (or both) of these files the correct file to use? I have Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks!
Gary

Hi there

Whenever i've downloaded malwarebytes is been the mbam file, although I'm sure the file from the malwarebytes site is fine too - it seems to be hosted on majorgeeks,so if in doubt maybe double check there too?

The current download file name is mbam-setup-1.50.1.1100.exe.

CNET is a reputable site but has a lot of ads with download links for other programs so it's easy to get confused and click the wrong download link. ARO 2011 is a registry tool and is currently at the top of the CNET page so it looks like that is the one you chose. Use this link:
