When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello :)
I found something really interesting and I wanted to tell you. I hope this helps.

This has been popping up every time I boot the computer since the problem.
I was playing around with my processes in Task Manager just now and I found something called McSvHost.exe and I clicked 'end process' for the thing. Now the browsers are loading websites somehow.
I restarted the computer and the websites aren't loading, but if I go to the processes and terminate that thing, it works again.
I *think* it has something to do with my McAfee? Should I uninstall it as I never use it anyway?

Well, at least now I know how to get it to work again :)

Thanks in advance,
Diana

Hello, sorry got called away, Did that bring them bacK? If not type these one line at a time, press enter after each line. See if it works after each.

Go to Start ... Run and type in cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
Click on the enter key.

Reboot your system to complete the process.

If needed
netsh interface ipv4 reset
netsh interface ipv6 reset
ipconfig /flushdns
How do I get help? Who is helping me?

I'm sorry; I have a hard time comprehending what you're saying.

Go to Start ... Run and type in cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
Click on the enter key.

Reboot your system to complete the process.

↑ this part I understand. I did it and it's not working. :(

If needed
netsh interface ipv4 reset
netsh interface ipv6 reset
ipconfig /flushdns

↑ this is the part I don't get. Would you like me to try the same steps with those lines??

Yes thank you so much!! I'm creating a restore point now, but it's taking forever "calculating space" or whatever. I suppose it's normal. Thank you so much I posted topics before too a couple times and both times you've saved my life! Without your help I would have been soo lost. Anyway thanks again and take care :)
