Good morning,
My question is this: Should I download Rkill just to have it available (along with my McAfee & Malwarebytes software), or only do so if I should acquire an infection which McAfee and/or Malwarebytes are having a problem with eliminating? Also, if I DO download one of the versions of Rkill...is there a recommended preference as to whether I install it on my hard drive (and WHERE on the hard drive), or a USB flash drive?
Thanks very much for your time and any information. (I'm running WIN XP Professional)

You can download it and keep it on a flash drive.
My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

Thanks very much for getting back with me Cryptodan! I'm certainly far from being a computer-saavy person. Trying to make sense of a lot of the technical jargon and methodologies for dealing with the various security issues presented here...is frequently very frustrating for me personally. (Maybe my age has something to do with it now).
I tend to be the type computer user who may need someone to explain in-depth, step-by-step EXACTLY how to accomplish something (pertaining to computers that is).
Again, my sincerest appreciation for your taking the time to respond to my inquiry!
