Hi,
I have a windows vista home basic with the virus "vista anti-spyware." I can get to my gmail home page but no further than that because every website (including google) poses "security risks." Tried running MBAM to get internet access but no luck. I am typing this from another computer. Please help!

Hello and welcome,I believe you need to run the first tool in the guide.
Please follow our Removal Guide here Remove XP Anti-Spyware 2011, Vista Security 2011, and Win 7 Internet Security 2011 (Uninstall Guide) .
After reading how the malware is misleading you ...
You will move to the Automated Removal Instructions
After you completed that, post your scan log here, let me know how things are.
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.
