Out of curiousity, I was wondering if BC can track the browsers used to visit the site. It's no big deal, but I would be curious to see the percentage by browser, and whether the percentage changes over time.
Regards,
John

You must have read the slashdot article
I was thinking the same thing myself. Apache automatically logs the user agent of the browser connecting to the site (which can be changed by a resourceful person). I guess it is possible to determine..actually i know it is.
I will see if I can dig up the numbers

If it is a big deal, don't bother, but I was thinking that this site would be interesting because you have a mixture of "power users" and ordinary users. Some of the other sites that have reported results may be skewed toward "power users," while BC might have (judging from the kinds of problems posted) a wider audience.

I agree...i will see what I can do...but for some reason my log analsys program has been doing a crappy job with the user agents visiting the site. Once i get that fixed I can start going forward wth that, but not until then unfortunately. Its added to my list of items to take care of though

We could probably start an informal poll on it. I know that I would vote on it.

I would too. But the problem with that is I don't think the visitors would be able to vote, so the result would be skewed. I would assume the regular members have mostly already made the switch.I don't see many people submitting hijack this logs also using an alternate browser.

I think that helping people comes before satisfying curiousity. Quite agree.
