For some reason, my laptop keeps killing my mice. This is the third USB optical mouse to die on me. I just purchased the mouse a few days ago, and now it's already acting up. The first mouse, the left button stopped working, the second would turn itself off and on, and now the third one is also, turning itself on and off. I've tried reinstalling my drivers, scanning for viruses, malware, spyware, etc. It all turns up nothing. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? It's funny though, because I can connect my ipod, cooling fan, etc, without any sort of problem. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1440, Windows 7 x64, and it's about a year old, I believe.
Thanks,
Mike

Have you tried to run a hardware diagnostics for your laptop?
Heres the link on how to do that.

The first was a Microsoft mouse and the second two were made by Logitech.

Just an additional question, for how many hours do you let the laptop stay on?

Have you tried these mice on another system yet?
Also try a different USB port.
