I am not able to create my own system restore point. I have opened up system restore like you said but there is no option to create system restore points. However, there was already a restore point created that was made just after I installed Java.

Also, I tried to delete previous system restore points but on the Disc Cleanup there is not a 'more options' tab.

Thanks
Jan.

Remove the old restore points and create a clean restore point:
  • Go to Start => Right-click "Computer" and select "Properties".
  • In the left pane select "System Protection".
  • Press "Configure".
  • Select "Turn off system protection". Then press "Yes" on the warning popup.
  • click "OK".
  • Select your drive (drive C) and press "Create".
Fill in a name for the restore point and press "Create".
    After finished press "Close".
