I bought an Kingston Elite Pro 133x 8Gb Compact Flash (CF) card for my Canon A70 Powershot camera off eBay but it only formats to 7.4Gb. This seems like a large loss to me - is this reasonable ? I formatted it on the camera as I have no ability to do it on a computer.

Doh! Many thanks Broni.

So to summarise for anyone else who stumbles across this Canon Gigabytes are in base 2 and Kingston gigabytes are in base 10.
