Hi!! My name is Jann, I live at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO. I am a 65yo grandmother who has been fascinated with computers since I took a few courses in College in the '70s. Since then, I have learned how to build them, rebuild them, upgrade them and fix/repair! I went blind a couple years ago in my left eye and the results have been difficult at best. I no longer do a hardware thing because I can't see the MBs well and in laptops, everything is SO tiny! LOL
I have had several computers with different OSes on them. My absolute fave is 2000Pro, but this XP Pro machine is right up there with that. Lately I have been a software junkie!! At least, a virus one. My daughters and my grandkids would go broke if they had to pay me! Click on this, download that, take a look-see at something else then call me. Makes one want to scream!
I found these forums when a friend of my husband was having trouble doing anything. He brought it here, I had to format and reinstall XP PRO and send it back to him with the STRONG advice to NEVER download anything or random click on anything unless you run it through Google first. Well, it's a start.
Then he sent his friend to me and whoooooooooooooa!! I have never, ever seen such a malware, spyware, virus infected machine in my life. Gives me something to do. And I am almost there!
I love to watch all the birds that feed at my feeders and the other wild critters that come up here. We have 10 acres away from people and these maddening tourists. I have three dogs and two cats. And one Ed. He is a drywall finisher here at the Lake.
Want to know more? Just ask...............Oh and BTW I will ask questions about something I need to know about if I am clueless. Which happens now and again! Nice to be here! I have read a whole lot of posts on these forums and feel I am in excellent company!
