When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hi,
Since 2 days i am experiencing behavior where search results (google, bing) redirect to completely other sites. It looks like i have some kind of trojan that hijacked my browser. So far i have done following:
1. Scanned with Malwarebytes - nothing detected
2. Scanned with Spybot search & destroy - nothing detected
3. Scanned with Microsoft Forefront - nothing detected
4. Checked hosts file - it was missing, which is strange, i have edited it before, it was not there, so i created it.
5. Checked TCP/IP settings - set to obtain DNS server names automatically
6. Checked Firefox network settings - set to use no proxy.

Behavior is same for both IE and Firefox.
Versions of browsers: IE7 and Firefox 3.6.17.
OS - Windows XP Professional, SP3

Please let me know what next steps should I do.
Thanks!

Hi coles1mom,

Thanks for reply, i downloaded and renamed tdsskiller app, but when i try to run it, it failes during initialization step. It reaches 80% and then errors, saying "tool has encountered a problem and needs to close". I tried running it yesterday, without renaming though, i got same result. Would appreciate any help to get rid of this problem!
