after virus remove lost everything Ran malwarebytes and lost everything on my desktop

Ok I have never seen anything like this.
Had a virus, restarted in safe mode ran malware bytes it found 17 issues moved them restarted. Now my wallpaper is gone as are all of my icons. The items in the start menu are also gone. right clicking properties and looking fixes nothing neither does restarting explorer.
some program files are also empty except that when i check the properties it says it has all the data there, as in 1.4 gigs.
Im freaking out because i just lost a weeks worth of recording.
except that i can tell its all there.
Also with one of my programs I can actually open files on the desktop, but only from the recently opened section.
PLEASE please please help me.

I hope someone can help on this.My problem is almost the same but my desktop will not show my wallpaper...it has a black screen...and my pics are gone.Also my favorites menu is blank and when i so to a site and try to save to favorites it says it is already in my favorites.If you get an awnser it will probly fix mine also.
