Hello,
It's been awhile since I last posted, but then, that shows how well the advice helped me to remove the problems I had on my computer, THANK YOU BLEEPING STAFF, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! clapping.gif
My new problem is with a friend's bothers computer. I've only been able to get general explanations of what's going on with it, not been able to look at it first hand. What I've been told, is that every time he tries to connect to the internet, it dials a 900 number. Ok, I've heard of dialers, but don't know what kinds of dialers there are. But then I was told that when he starts windows, there's a bunch of popups that are directly on his desktop that he can't close easily at all. Plus, there's a poker game that shows up too, if that helps. Which I also remember something about a casino infection that does that, but not for sure.

What I was wondering, is that since I can't get a good look at what the machine is doing, if someone could point me in the general direction of info on how to kill dialers, or what many of them are called, as I'm pretty sure the ones that make em don't just conveniently call them dialinga900number.exe tongue.gif
I'd be grateful for advice on what to look for, just general of course, as I'm going to send a disk with ad-aware, hijackthis, etc since he can't get online to get them himself. Then I can maybe play the middleman to see what he's got, and let him know how to get rid of it.
Thanks again for your time and efforts smile.gif
