To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

My system crashed to black screen. Could only turn off manually. Replaced the two hd's with one new drive and reinstalled the win7. Had back up a month old and want to check the two hd's I removed. Have SATA/usb adapter. One old hd gets message'must format this disc before usable'. The other hd must contain the original win7 os because when i tried to browse files I got an indication that a virus had been removed and that I must get rid of it before continuing.

I am mainly interested in my game progress in some fairly extensive games from those hd's.

Two questions: 1) How can I remove the virus from external hd 2 without infecting my new install? and 2) how can I access files/folders in hd 1 that indicates formatting necessary?
