I'm not sure if this is a Firewall forum topic exactly, but if anyone can please help?
I had a file that somehow became installed in my Symantec files (not positive if that's the file it was in). The file was SNDWARN.EXE
This file kept popping up with a reminder saying I needed to update my internet intrusion detections (with 2 large buttons - "update now" or "later")
I completely removed any Norton products (Norton website - uninstall tool), but the file remained!!
I went into safe mode to search around, ran my anti-spyware programs, reg clean, reg vac, spybot and adaware and still nothing. When I tried to go back into normal mode, my resolution remained with the same look as safe mode, and now I can't change my resolution back and there have been modifications to my registry by the looks of it and my startup tab in msconfig. My monitor driver seems to have a problem now too. I can't change any color settings or resolution.
Please help!!? Any suggestions, anyone?
I can also post my Hijack this log, if that will help.
