BleepingComputer.com: Dell Inspiron 9400

I'm working with a dell inspiron 9400, machine is slow and found it has just 512MB of Ram and 60GB o HD.

Sugested to my customer after making sure machine was working in a good way slow but good, to increase memory to 2GB and HD to 320GB.

Did install first the Ram and left drive in computer and it went up and performance increased.

Then using Todobackup I cloned complete 60 GB Disk to new docked WD 320GB disk. And procedure was done without faults or errors.

Removed the 60GB disk and installed the new 320GB disk and system halted with error 0X0000007D. When I check the Bios I see ots still seeing the drive as 60GB formated and does not load.

There are some sites that say that the biggest drive for this computer can be 250GB in other it says it han go higher.

Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Did you install a fresh copy of windows?

Thanks, looking at the disk i found out that apparently when i ran clone of todo backup i resize the different partitions and even though it said that it finnished allright it did not.

Tight know i'm redoing in another disk maintaining unallocated area for then doing a resize of the partition. What i have know is that the disk its 320gb but it shows and formats as 60gb.

How can i fix this.

Tried using Disk Management to resize it?

Negative when i go to disk management it tells me that the drive is ahout 60GB no unallocated space available.

The other 320 GB disk happened the same thing. It shows it as a 59gb disk no unallocated space.

Any way of reversing the format to this disks to original size.

Have you tried using EASEUS Partition Master to resize it?

Yes i tryed to use the Partition master, but when checking it tells me the drive is 60GB, it can be shrinked but not enlarged.

Also this was done unisng a dell laptop computer, searching in the internet it stated that there might be something with the host protected area.
