explorer 8 script error messages switching pages causes a script error message

Whenever I try to click a link or switch pages with Explorer 8 I get a script error message. mostly I have to click "do you wish to continue" box to move to my selected page. Sometimes as often as 8 or 10 times. So where does it come from. The error occurs at professional sites so the "script" should be OK

You might want to list your OS, and the specs on your machine.

System is HP Pavillion 2 yrs old, Pentium Dual Core E5300 @2.6 Ghz, 6GB RAM, OS is Vista 64bit Home Premium w SP2.
