A Mississippi town came together to thwart the Westboro Baptist Church protest at the funeral of a soldier killed in Afghanistan.

Way to go Brandon, MS. You showed the rest of the country there is a way to deal with those idiots.

Sure, they have the right to protest, but you also have the right to stop them if you can.

This shows what a little class can do, no stooping to their level-which is so low they can reach up and touch bottom.

Good. Actions like that of the westboro baptist church tick me off. Dont get me wrong-Im a active member of my church, and proud of it, but if my church ever pulled a stunt like that, not only would I leave said church, Id be protesting that church.

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

That put's a totally different meaning on"turning the other cheek".

People like that should be Drafted and sent to a War Zone to learn some Respect for what all our Brave Service people are doing in them.

Queen Evie, these folks are just plain crackers!!! or to put it a better way, as my baby brother say's "there Cheese has slide off their cracker"!!!
It really tick's me off that they have the nerve to invade a FUNERAL!! in the first place....In the second place if they really understood the bible and the character of CHRIST, then they'd know this ain't anywhere near bein a christian....

They even planned to picket the funeral of seven children that died in a fire...talk about Hate mongers!!

Here in the cradle of idoicy, i have a wonderful neighbor , he's a military vet and one of the nicest guy's you'll ever meet,about a year or so ago He and abunch of veteran's went to stand guard at a military
funeral that these nut job's were protesting...I've never been so proud to know somebody like Gary!..nobody had to ask them to do this, they just did it!
They still are serving and protecting!!!
