Greetings all.. i hope that someone can help with this.
I have come across this situation once before and have been successful in a remedy for the situation.
The laptop i used wasnt picking up any networks. I did a little digging and found that i had to go into the thing and see if the appropriate service was turned on.
I turned it on, and the wireless card starting working.
I have to repeat the process but i cannot remember the name of the service.
Can someone help?
Thanks.

This is a semi-educated guess but:
  • Start>Run, type services.msc, or press the [Windows] key + the [R] key then type services.msc
  • Look for something similar to "Wireless Zero Configuration".
  • Double click or right click on it to select properties. Make sure "Startup type" is set to either "Manual" or "Automatic" <-(Auto is best if you don't want to do this again).
  • Click the "Start" button, click the "Apply" button, click the "OK" button.
Close out the Services window.

Hope that's what you're looking for. Those steps are for XP, you didn't mention OS, so took a shot in the dark. I wouldn't know the steps for Vista or Windows 7.
