Yeah I got it because of all the positive feedback Newegg gave it then Overclocks.com showed it to be good and finally the price was cheap! Lol. But I guess I'll stick with Asus all the way my asrock should love it

Sometimes Asus products can get pricey so i would buy the gigabyte version which are pretty solid.

In the land of Nvidia, which I happily left a few months back due to craptacular drivers, eVGA and Galaxy are usually considered top-of-the-line. You pay more, but you often get more.

I believe Asus and Sapphire are top of the line.

I always thought Asus gigabyte and msi was no#1. I was originally ati all the way but there cards always had a problem with me OCing them then running it in clone mode dual screens. I would see allot of tearing I had this problems on 2 cards xfx 5770 and Asus 5770 come to find out it was a driver issue not the card so I left and went to Nvidia and I loved it ever since. Just that the evga 470 is loud and runs hot

I use to use Nvidia 6 year ago before i started buying ATI cards which has serve me well.

I bought it because the price was right. lol

In my area, EVGA and PNY are considered top of the line for NVIDIA, though Im sure DJB is right about the galaxy-he has more experience with NVIDIA cards then I do. Saphire uses exclusively ATI chipsets, and arnt in the line up at all. (for nvidia cards) ASUS makes both NVIDIA and ATI video cards, and are of good video quality in my opinion-I have a ASUS 4890 in my machine, and am very happy with it. (though, I also have a saphire 4890 backing it up) As far as my personal experience, in my area I avoid anything with the MSI/xfx name brand on them, those brands have around a 60% failure rate in the first year in my area. I dont know if its just the environment, or if its just the distributer they come from. I know several people on here use MSI all the time without any problems whatsoever.

I am usually very forgiving when it comes to drivers in games, they are complex and push the hardware. But, when drivers start crashing during normal PC usage, which is what happened with NVidia, that is a major deal breaker. Unless, the card differs from the reference design, most GPU's are very similar across manufacturers, only warranties and bundles are different.

Any opinion on Powercolor GPU's? I own a Powercolor X1650 Pro.

Ive owned powercolor in the past, decent brand though I dont use them anymore. . .in any case were kinda goin off topic here. my apologies.

YEAH!! lol it's all good to add your thoughts. I'm going with the Asus period!. Love Asus and there reliable and plus you guys back it up. What else is there

Also you don't have to install their utilities unless you want to.
