I had the windows defrag pop up hit me again. I unfortunately let my webroot lapse.. I will renew that asap...
I used rkill and then malbytes however both indicated that there is nothing malicious on my hard drive. (logs below)
The problems that I am currently experiencing are that none of my document, music, videos, pictures, favorites, and even some folders (desktop and internal) are not visible(nor can they be found by searching). However, when I go to media player I can play songs that are in a playlist and open some documents that are in my "recent documents" even though Vista (Home Premium 32 Bit, Service pack 2 installed) cannot find them when I search. Additionally, My hard drive is almost full 10gigs left out of 320 and it is still showing the same numbers after the incident.
I did a system restore to prior to the incident with no help.
How can I save my files?
I know it may be too late now but should I back up the hard drive before I do anything else.
