Avast appears to be detecting legitimate sites as HTML Script inf or HTML Iframe inf. Site's vary from google, yahoo, youtube, sympantec etc. Is this a fp or have these sites been hacked?

I also got alerts while uploading the image to imgur :\

I'm getting this too. Wikipedia, Yahoo, PcWorld (although for some reason it still connects) and The Oatmeal are all being blocked.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm guessing more people out of the 933 reading have it too :3

I suddenly have the exact same problem. The Avast forum seems busy and I can't get on it. I think there must be a glitch. Can't be infections every site I go to??

Same with me, started on youtube. i believe it is now fixed.
If it is not try what i did. disable all the shields wait roughly 20 seconds
then re-enable them (you might have to enable web shield manually from avast menu)

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Experienced this problem when visiting a trusted forum and trying to go on Youtube.
Seems liks some kind of error by avast!, and yeah the avast website is pretty busy right now and the update server won't connect.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Same problem here. I tried updating both the program, as well as the iAVS, but to no avail.

Not sure what vs y'all are running. I'm running 4.8.

I stopped all services, then restarted, as directed above. It seemed to help on a few websites. But there are still a significant amount of safe websites coming up as infected.

Same. Seriously doubting it's something on our side, though. Can you guys confirm that Tumblr and Youtube also get this message? I went to class with them fine, came back 2 hours later, and I'm getting this message.

Edit: lol nevermind on youtube, OP said it >_>
