Hi people.

I seem to be one of the many who's caught this one..

Basically, I have one laptop infected, which now cannot connect to the internet. I managed to download and transfer some programs such as "rkill, mbam-setup, TFC, aswMBR" (as I was advised on another forum), over to the desktop on the infected machine. But unfortunately I cant open or run any of them, as soon as I click on any of them, the "windows security centre" and "xp internet security 2011" popups start again.

This happens in both normal mode, and safe mode when logged on as myself, but I've just discovered that I can log on as administrator in safe mode, and open folders that I am otherwise unable to, such as "Control Panel" etc... Wll this be any help?? Unfortunately, when in safe mode as administrator, none of the above programs are available on the desktop..

Any ideas anyone??

Currently part-way through trying the methods outlined here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-win-7-antispyware-2011

However, the malware is stopping me opening any other program on my deskptop. Just tried the "iExplore" renamed version of rkill. No result, now just about to try some of the other renames to see if that can sneak past.
