So while I was out of the house my brother calls me to tell me that my desktop (not the one that was utterly destroyed by unknown causes and fixed with a windows repair, the thread is in this forum somewhere if you care enough to search) crashed in the middle of playing Titan Quest with the error nv4_disp has stopped working correctly, please restart or some such, yes the game is legit.
Now I'm home and am surfing through event viewer to see what it was and I see some HID Input errors, whatever, no biggie, and then Error code 000000ea, parameter1 85d86630, parameter2 8a05c680, parameter3 89ea76c8, parameter4 00000001. along with The driver nv4_disp for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates. and Error code 100000ea, parameter1 85cba3c8, parameter2 89d798b0, parameter3 b84dbcbc, parameter4 00000001. (My text in bold to help split the error messages) I googled the two weird errors and found nothing (probably due to lack of googling skills) the nv4_disp error seems pretty self explanatory.
Now my brother being my brother, instead of talking to actual tech support, emails blizzard (why I don't know) and they say some nonsense about how the current driver for my card (nVidia GeFroce 7900GS) is not supported for World of Warcraft and that we have to rollback (what? since when did this become a WoW issue?) so he does and supposedly makes it worse (all while I'm gone) so now I'm posting (probably in vain) to diagnose this and try to discern whether it's fixable without a reformat or buying a new card.
Yes, I did a clean re-update of the drivers after I got home.
Let me know what else you need to help me out

If I'm posting, I probably have something horribly wrong with my computer, there's no obvious explanation for it, that's just the way it is.

I would go to Device Manager...uninstall the current video drivers...reinstall same from either original CD or download from appropriate website.

I would reinstall the drivers, and this time do a clean install via the custom setup options.
