Hello, and thanks for looking,
My laptop has one HDD, 2 partitions. The second partition is 68.5 Gb and is used just for storing media files. My pc is reporting that there is 23.5 Gb free space in this partition, but there is only 23.3 Gb of data on there. No files are hidden. There should be another 21.7 Gb free space. I realise I'm probably missing something really simple here, has anyone any idea what?

Partition missing 22 Gb Amount of data + free space don't add up!

Thank you
now I can see that 'Folder is Empty' isn't always true...

Well...if you have system files/folders hidden, it might not be true. Other than that, it should be an accurate assessment by Windows.

It was a 'return to factory settings' recovery folder. Settings are 'show all hidden files and folders' so the folder was shown, but was reported by windows as being empty. Windirstat told me different. Thanks for your help
