I just got my new motherboard and built my system. I have a revised edition of the Asus P8P67 pro board and Intel i5 second edition processor.Everything works great, except for one annoying thing. When i hit the power button, the system fies up for about 5 seconds, lights are on, fans going etc. Then it shuts off. Completely off. Then restarts up all on its own. Whats that all about? Anyone know of a fix for this??

Can you please answer the 4 questions below?

Does anything display on the computer screen during the initial start up?

Does this happen each time you restart the computer, or does this only happen when you first start up the computer each day?

Is your computers power plug plugged into a switched power strip or plug?

When your computer is powered off for a long length of time, do you also turn off the switch on the power strip? (If do you use one)

Bruce.

Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Bruce.
