I have an HP laptop running Vista. For the past few days that I've used it at work, everytime I try to access the net with firefox, it crashes and asks if I want to send a report. It also asks if I want to try to restore the session, but if I do that it crashes again. The only way to access the internet is to use IE, which connects right away, then click on my firefox icon. Firefox connects with no problem when I do it that way. This only happens on the wifi at work. On the home wifi, firefox comes right up with no issues.
No known hardware/ software upgrades.
Thanks!

Forgot to add; normally down at the lower right, on the two monitors icon, there is a globe. Right now there isn't and when I go to Network and Sharing Center, it shows my computer----> City of " "---x---and a globe. So the connection to the net has a red "x" between it and the network I am on, and is showing "Local only". But I'm still connected to the net.?

Sounds like you or the administrator will need to re-install Firefox. I don't see any other way to do it.

When you have a red X it means that there is no internet connection so you will have to contact the system administrator.
EDIT: I'm sorry I didn't see that this thread is so old.
