Hi all, I'm running Windows XP Home on a Dell XPS, here's a rundown of what happened the other day.

While trying to stream an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia from a less-than-reputable website (couldn't tell ya what the site was for the life of me), my computer became infected with lord knows how many bugs. The most apparent infection is the hapilli google redirect virus, but I am certain there is more going on than that. I am no longer able to open firefox, I am having countless problems with tabs in IE not to mention I can't close the program any way other than ending the process in Task Manager, startup is more sluggish than usual followed by the computer entering power save mode before loading the desktop, sometimes after a while icons become non-responsive and normal tasks seem impossible, etc etc...

I ran a norton scan, a lavasoft adaware scan, a malwarebytes scan, and a sbybot search and destroy scan, all of which have done very well for me in the past, and all four apparently removed some trojans, but none of them have solved my problems.

Please help!! I'm a student and this is the only computer I have available and am in the middle of a research paper!

Just replying to see if it will bump, I've seen several people with the same issue get a prompt response, I just don't want to start getting into anything until I'm advised by somebody more knowledgeable than myself.
