You can do a search for nwiz.exe and the other file to get their true paths.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

Do you have a realtek sound card and an nvidia video card? If so, the files are fine. Neither one needs to be a startup item - it's your choice.

ALCMTR.exe -should be disabled as a startup

Quote

Realtek AC97 Audio - Event Monitor. "Sypware" file used surreptitiously monitor one's actions. It is not a sinister one, like remote control programs, but it is being used by Realtek to gather data about customers. If you delete this file, then you will not be able to properly update your drivers in the future. It is therefore recommended that you disable the startup instead.

Startup Control Panel does not require installation. If you downloaded a .zip file then yes, you have to unzip it

The paths of these files would give us a better idea of how malicious they are.

the exact program name is mike lins start up controll panel. and accually i think it was allen that told me to download it instead of using MSCONFIG.

but now i cant figure out how to get into the start up program (maybe im blonde) i "extracted" all files, than i clicked on the extracted program and its still asking me if i want to run it. and i know i downloaded it because ive been in it once before but that was right after it was downloaded. once i get into that mike lins startup control. i can give you the paths. i cant find the paths in msconfig.

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx

No installation required.

Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.

Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.

You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:
