Just a quick final question, not completely relevant and feel free to ignore: any recommended reading for learning to do this kind of cleanup?

I've gotten pretty intrigued while getting this laptop fixed up, and I really like to be self suficcient in all things IT..

cheers, tirrike.

Hi,

we offer a training program, in case you're interested to help out on the forums too. We can't really train people for "personal interest only" as we are rather spread out as it is at the moment.

I'll spend some more time on the forums, see if I can contribute with something, and will most likely apply for the training program eventually. Apologies if my question came out as self centered.

Feel free to close this topic, there's one less malware infested laptop in the world...

cheers, tirrike.

Hi,

no it didn't come of as self-centered. However there's a very clear difference between I'd like to be indepedent of IT-support and I'd like to help on the forums. Both are valid requests and I'm sure the former is more common than the latter.
Sadly currently we can only cater to the latter, which si why I specified it.

I'll go ahead and close the thread then, unless you have something else you'd like to ask? See you around :)

regards myrti
