The gamecube,....... selling for around £60, wow!

They can be picked up for about 30USD here (no idea what that translates to in Pounds or Euros). Just gotta know where to look.

I've had a lot of systems, Atari 2600, NES, Genisis, SNES, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1&2, Xbox, and 360 just off the top of my head (I keep them all in a box in Mom's basement, never know when I will have the urge to play something odd)

Favorite system the Playstaion 2.2 (Slimline) had 0 of the issues of the original design, included a networking adapter, and in a slim case that was easy for transport and the list of great games for it is never ending, God of War, Legacy of Kain, Gran Turismo 3, FFX(so sue me I like it), Burnout, GTA 3/4/5, and so on. It was the have to have system of its hayday.

Playstation 3, hands down. Better exclusives, better commercials. That 'to Michael' commercial is probably the best damned commercial I've had the privilege to view my entire life. And did you see the teaser for the new Naughty Dog game? I AM EXCITE. Microsoft, on the other hand, is about dried up in the exclusives department.

That said, the Kinect is a damned awesome piece of kit.

Also, caught the 'u' in 'favourite.' You a redcoat OP?

Nothing compares to the PC. Playing Starcraft 1, that pure speed and the sheer amount of actions, it's just unparalled.

Otherwise, I guess I would have to give it to the PS1. It didn't have the hardware, at least not like today's consoles, but it had so many great games.

Probably the PS2. What's amazing is that it's been out for 11 years, and games are still being made for it.

For me , I would say the PS1.. the "garden of eden" for most console games.. Most games today was made great with this console. I grew up with this system, having played Resident evil, final fantasy and metal gear to name a few. I know these games was made originaly from consoles of the past but they were made timeless ( dare I say it ) on PS1.

Then came the ps2. with it's huge library of games and on the time where sequels were good till it became rampant.. still these 2 are in the TOP of my list.

Psp doesn't par up with it's "portability" to be honest, I just use it to play old ps1 games. Gamewise, game titles are just either remakes.. original games are few.

For the ps3, its still in it's early years. its top games are mostly sequels/prequels. It has yet to show IMHO its capability.

Good times!!

I had an original Atari, then I had the Colecovision. The Colecovision was great, I gave that to my kids when the ex hauled them off out of state. My wife has a WII, I'm more of a PC type of guy now.
