connecting laptop to tv

Hi, i hooked up my laptop to my tv, and after finally working out all the sound and picture problems i went to play some WoW, when i load wow on the comp the tv screen goes blue, if i minimize wow the picture comes back. The laptop is working fine, its just the tv thats doing this. any help help would be great.

I will guess that the game is changing the resolution to one the tv cannot display. can you change resolutions that the game starts in ?

What is the native resolution of the television? You may want to consider setting the laptop and the game to the same resolution as the television.

What type of cable(s) are you using to hook up your laptop to your TV?
