If i remember my bible and i do..LOL!! JESUS Said' Not even the son of man knows the day or the hour"....so much for doomsday theories....instead of worryin about when the worlds gonna end i think our time would be much better spent caring for one another...

Yes, I agree and believe the Bible clearly says that no man not even the Son knows the exact hour....But I do believe in certain passages he's telling us we are to recognize the season..

My personal opinion is, we are in the season now and it's very obvious and he meant it to be.

I'm not saying I believe 2012 is the year, I have no idea.. But I defiantly feel we are the last generation before the second coming and have felt it in my bones, if you will, for many years.

I used to see things..The first time was when I was in the sixth grade and I knew people were drastically changing rapidly and I knew what it meant... That was long before I had any understanding of the Bible or went to Church...

The second time I was in my 20's. Same thing..long time before I knew anything other than I knew inside there was a God and I better be right with him before I died.

I know how much the world has changed in just the last few years and how fast things spiral once they get started... I don't see how he can possibly hold out much longer..

But this is my personal belief and in all honesty, I wish I could say differently. I'm not at peace with it.

WELCOME JESUS into my life and I did when i was 22( I'm now 54.. ) and I
still don't know as much as I would like to or need to....Up to this point in my
life, I've avoided the book of REVELATION, my first attempt in my 20's scared me
to death !!....Now i'm reading it...HUGE STEP for me.. ...........and I'm
wondering if alot of this hasn't already happened???
This is going to be some pretty lengthy reading,but in order to understand it, we
have to read it from begining to end, starting with Chaper 1 thru chapter 22...

I didn't think you meant I thought 2012 was the year, but was not for sure.

I totally understand what you mean about Revelations. haha- I'll be honest though, there is a lot of the Bible that intimidates me.

I really don't want to debate whether or not the Bible is God's word and that God is the Creator... I made up my mind a long time ago and only came to understand after Obama got into office and all this hullabaloo started as to whether or not God exists, did I realize they had been teaching Evolution in the schools to our children...When I was in school they taught nothing either way and I thought it was the same while my sons were in school... They never told me..but then again, I didn't ask.

Anywho, I don't figure anyone that has made up their mind one way or the other is going to listen to me, so why debate it? ..Speaking for myself, solely.

Not to interrupt Bible Hour, but a bit of historical input which I could not find previously in this thread but I may have missed:

The Mayans made a calendar that ended in 2012 simply because they hadn't made calendars later than that. They produced also another timekeeping device which recorded celestial events (including comets and their expected locations in the sky at what times) for (are you ready for it) octillions of years. Octillion. Let me break it down.

Thousand = 1,000
Million = 1,000,000 (1 level above a thousand)
Billion = 1,000,000,000 (2 levels above a thousand)
Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000 (3 levels above a thousand)
...
Octillion = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years.

Other timekeeping devices have been discovered that measure years much past 2012 but not QUITE as far as that one, but still. It proves they believed in the need to record these dates for quite some time, which speaks to their belief that the Earth (and to a greater extent, themselves) would be around to require a reminder of when these events would occur.

Finally, if you want one more piece of evidence that the calendar ending on 2012 is merely a fluke, let's remember this: The Mayans left /MANY/ unfinished projects lying around. Why? Because some intrepid adventurers came over and killed them all. So the lack of completion of a Calendar? Should be taken in stride.

well there are some people who believes on the 2012 end of the world? But as what you can see in the movie it was only AMERICA and AFRICA who were affected on that 2012 event have you ever heard of other countries that were affected? Oh yah china and what else? That is all....,

I'm going to add this... I'm not sure why, but for some strange reason people have neglected to mention that the Mayan calendar extends beyond the supposed "end of the world." What the text alludes to is the coming of a new age.

I think everyone in the world knows something is about to blow or give, if you will, and is one reason all this hype about 2012 and is why society for the first time in history so divided.

But according to Aliens versus Predators the Mayan disappear cause the Aliens attack Mayans that is why some Mayans disappear here in the phase on Earth, heheheheeheh

Mayans were normal people, so theres a chance they may actually be walking among us, there was nothing special or supernatural about them, they were human just like anyone else.

Right. The Mayan culture ceased. The Mayans, for whatever reason, left their homes and assimilated in with populations elsewhere.

They may have been tired making calendar dates and stopped.. They're were like "" people will be more advanced on this date ,, they can take it from there like go to other places!! ""..

on the bright side, they overcame the y2k problem long before we did
