LCD Power input / output Which PSU?

Just a quick question for anyone who understands Amps v Volts.
Iv'e been asked to supply a replacement PSU for an LCD Screen.
The required output for the adapter is 19V / 2.6A but these seem virtualy impossible to find.
Is it ok to go higher on the Amperage side ( say 3 - 3.5A ) without causing damage to the screen?

Yes, it is fine to have higher Amperage rating on the supply. That indicates up to how much it can provide without being overloaded. If the monitor pulls less, the power supply just has less work to do, so to speak. So a 3A or 3.5A supply will be OK.

The Voltage, polarity (+ and - on plug) and DC or AC output all need to be correct as per the monitor's specification.
