How do I remove a web link from my desktop I pasted a web link to my desktop and want to remove it

I did not know where to post this. Sorry if it is in the wrong forum.
Here is what I did. I wanted to save a game link that someone sent me. I copied the link and pasted it to my desktop. It is now integrated to my desk top. I want to remove it but do not know how.

Is this what you mean Using the Active Desktop?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

What do you mean integrated? What happens if you right-click on the icon and choose "delete"?
