Checking eMails When Away From Home How do I clear unwanted emails

Am currently in NZ, with laptop. Is it possible for me to access the emails pending in my desktop back in the UK (since I've been away) such that I can delete the myriad of unwanted emails before returning home? Grateful for any guidance.
My laptop uses Vista Basic and has Windows Mail/Live Mail, neither of which has been used to date.
My dekstop in the UK uses Windows 2000 Pro/IE6 and my ISP is "Talktalk."

Does your ISP allow for Webmail?

If they do not then you can setup your mail client with your ISP's mail server settings. Just be warned that you will not be able to send unless your ISP offers a way to send mail via another IP address.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.
