Hi,
Somewhere along the way my IE picked this rotten XP Security 2011 up and it won't let go.
I have avast running now and it says it has picked up 3 thtreats so far (60%) in.
I have dome CC and it lists a lot of file after analyse BUT I don't want to click fix until the avast finishes.
I keep getti8ng the fake window shield in the tray but in Task Mgr see exe.exe and get rid of it everytime it pops up.
I want to run Malwarebytes but when I do I get the scam program.
My plan is to have avasat fix the threats it finds and then click fix for the registry stuff in CC.
Hopefully I will be able to run Malwarebytes then.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
oz

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.

Hi,
Thank you. That got rid of 23 items and MB took 10 hours to do a c:\ scan.
In task manager I still have a StkASv2K.exe and a ctfmon.exe but I am not sure whether they are okay.
MB says I am clean when I do it now.
Many thanks

Hello.
Two questions for you.
Do you have a webcam?
Do you have Microsoft Office installed?
