BleepingComputer.com: maximize video problem

When I attempt to maximize youtube or any other video it is either dark or choppy. I uninstalled and reinstalled activex with no improvemnet. This problem started today.

Yes dvd's work and I am using adobe flash
windows media player works fine

I have added some ram and most videos wit the the exception of youtube will maximize. You tube will go black if maximize but sound does come through. Is there anything different about youtube videos?

Youtube streams their videos through Adobe Flash player, what version are you using?

Issue
Full-screen hardware scaling may not work and may default to software-rendered playback. Full-screen hardware-based scaling requires Adobe Flash Player 9.0.115.0 or later.



Reason
Flash Player supports a variety of system configurations. However, for hardware scaling to function correctly, install the latest drivers for your individual video card. Additionally, install DirectX 9 for Windows.


Solution
If your system does not support hardware-scaled full-screen playback, then Flash Player will automatically change to software-rendered full-screen playback.

Visit your video card's manufacturer website to obtain new video drivers.

Do you think an upgrade of my video card could solve this? The video is running off the card attached to the motherboard.

There are three suggestions in the article I posted the excerpt from, so the question is what is the version of your Adobe Flash player? Do you have directX 9 installed. Have you tried installing the latest drivers for your GPU?

I have the lastest driver for the video card. I have adobe flash player 10 and I did install directx 9

If I run 16 bit on the video the problem seems to disappear, but the videos aren't that clear.

I will do another search later today or tonight to see what I can find out regarding the integrated graphics ability to support hardware-scaled full-screen playback. Once I find what I'm looking for I will be able to tell what the next course of action will be.
