Freezing

I am using internet explorer, and everytime I open a second window of internet explorer and then try to close it out my computer will freeze, and I have to "end the program" and both windows will shut off. I did have a virus on my computer the other day and I used this website to get rid of the problem. I also have not made any attempt to fix this problem. I am running Internet Explorer.

If I had this problem, I would uninstall and reinstall IE8. It may be corrupted. If that doesn't solve the problem, try another browser and see if that works.

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same problem?
