wireless optical mouse drivers - recommendation please?

Hi all

I am trying to get my Wireless optical mouse (EagleTec) working with my laptop (Compac Presario CQ45-317TX). I've consulted good ol' google and tried out downloading some drivers - I have found although they claim to be free they eventually ask for money after I click and install them. Can I get a driver for free? I'm on a tight budget here! :-)
