i can install a program and uninstal. Merged 2 same topics with replies.

when i m installing a program it says that(error 1406.not write value clsid and more what shoul i do.

Is this occurring when you are installing software?

If so, are you using the administrator account?

We need more information about your issue, and is this with all programs or just certain ones, and also can you list the programs you are having issues with?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

hey please help me my computer is not installing a program and uninstalling is says that((error 1406.not write value clsid and more what shoul i do.

are you logged in as administrator? right click the installer and choose run as administrator.

if that doesn't work go to c:\windows\system32 and look for msi.dll and right click. choose properties and checkk the version number. if its lower that 3.0 that go to microsoft.com and update it

when i m installing diskeeper it says that( error 1406.not write value clsid/{202d3AEF-2FOE-11D1-AIF6-0080C88593A5}.verify that you have sufficient access to
that key.or contact u r support personal ) what is that please help me.it is very important

Hi again -
Diskeeper 2010 is not a required program for your computer - It will not provide much help for most systems - I would not use it -
You can use any other defragmenter program (like Defraggler or the built in defrag) and the other parts of the program are extras only -

Avid Liquid is for editing video programs , and unless you edit a lot of items it is again not needed -
Do you use/need an editing program a lot of the time -

From what I can find -

Make sure you have XP SP3, plus all updates installed , your Java is fully updated (current update is 24) , you have Flash Player installed and updated -

You have Direct X 9 installed - You are logged in as Administrator or have full Administrator privileges -
