BleepingComputer.com: Dialup Networking

Trying to fix my friends computer. She updated Earthlink Total Access (Dial-up Internet access) which has an accelerator program. Now every time she boots the computer, Earthlink starts dialing. I changed the settings to Never dial a Connection, but it keeps reverting back. There are no settings in Earthlink and their tech support person said I need to reinstall Dial-up Networking. Did that and it still dials up automatically!! I ran Adaware and Spybot, plus the anti-virus program thinking there might be a dialer on the system, but found nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.
