I have a question about adding memory to my system. It currently has: 4 gb (2 x 2GB) of Patriot Memory part # GS34G1333ELKA. 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM, Speed DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) rated at Cas Latency 9 Timing 9-9-9-24 Voltage 1.5V Dual Channel. A Gigabyte motherboard MA770T-UD3P AMD Phenom II X3 710 processor.
It is currently running fine. I installed the memory without touching any bios settings, the system chose the following settings: 7-7-7-20. Some hardware programs show the voltage at 1.65 instead of the manufactures 1.5v. Should I change the settings to the factory ratings of 9-9-9-24 1.5v?
I just ordered 8gb of the following memory: PNY Model MD8192KD3-1333 Optima 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory. Cas Latency 9 Voltage 1.5V. They are both 1333 PC3 10666 Cas Latency 9 Voltage 1.5V. I planned on using the new memory in the first bank, and putting the original memory in the second bank. Spec wise they seem to be the same, just manufactured by different companies.
Do you think this memory will work with my current setup? Any information you can share would be helpful, I did not have a lot of time to research this purchase and PNY's website is down. I need to make a decision about the upgrade before the memory arrives.

given that they r both ddr3 1333 sets i dont see any reason at all why they shouldnt work

Have a look at page 16 of your user manual here. Be sure to keep your matched pairs as indicated.:

Keeping your RAM all the same is recommended and will generally run better. Will it work? Yes, but it is possible that a matched set of 8Gb may have a better performance than 12Gb of mixed pairs.
