Does anybody know when itel will release the sandy 2600k I know it was pulled for defects I heard later on this month it will be release again but not sure if it true also Whats the best mobo for it besides gigabyte. Gigabyte and win7 don't play to well on intel and amd.

never had an issue with gigabyte boards and windows 7-with either AMD or Intel builds. (or with AMD video cards) but, in my experience-ASUS is a top manufacturer, all my builds, especially performance builds anymore, are either on gigabyte or ASUS motherboards.

Primary system: Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 945, Memory: 8 gigs of Patriot G2 DDR3 1600, Video: ASUS ATI 4890 and a Saphire 4890 in Crossfire, Storage: 1 WD 500 gig HD, 1 Hitachi 500 gig HD, and Power supply: Coolermaster 750 watt, OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
Media Center: Motherboard: Gigabyte mp61p-S3, Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+, Memory: 6 gigs Patriot DDR2 800, Video: Saphire 4850, Storage: 500 gig Hitachi, PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty 550 watt modular PSU, OS: Windows 7 Ultimate.

Don't know where you get your info.

Nothing wrong with the 2600K. The problem is with the motherboard chipsets. New updated motherboards should be out by the end of March.

No problem with Gigabyte and WIN7 to my knowledge.

All Socket 1155 boards have been pulled. Since there are no 1155 boards, Sellers have pulled all Socket 1155 CPUs as well. Just look on Newegg.

quick question I love asus so I was wondering if the ASUS Sabertooth P67 is a good board for the 2600k?

The new Sandy Bridge CPU's use a new socket, the LGA 1155 and the upcoming LGA 2011. Since these sockets are brand new, and the P67 uses the Cougar Point chipset being recalled, giving opinions on a recalled motherboard really isn't needed since they won't be released again in their former non-recalled state. You need a compatible motherboard, in this case, all LGA 1155 compatible motherboards are affected by the recall, to use a CPU. For a general opinion, Asus usually makes good boards and the new "K" series CPU's from Intel are very nice.
