title pretty much says it all...ive got these two processors and i just want to know which one would out preform the other in well jsut bout everything but mostly gaming...

what brand is your quad and what socket are they????

o right their both intels...cant remebmer the exact but it says intel Q6600 and socket 775 both of them...

in many cases, it depends on the application, but its a 200 mhz difference, I would go with the q6600 quad core. It is a good CPU, and you can overclock it to 2.6 easily if you have an single or dual core application that absolutly needs that extra 200 mhz, though I doubt that will be the case-most programs these days are quad core certified, I would definetly go with the quad.
