Hi. I'm just one more person having a computer problem who Googled around and found this forum and joined, to see if I can find someone to answer my questions before I have to pay to have someone "fix" my computer. :)

Not sure how much anyone would be interested in, as far as personal details about me. Newly 55 (gotta learn to keep my eye out for those senior discounts, now!), short. I live in a tiny, tiny town in Southeast Kansas, about 100 miles from civilization. I work nights, from home, as a medical transcriptionist, so I use my computer(s) a LOT. For work, for socializing, and as a resource. Despite that, however, I don't know a whole lot about computers. I started trying to learn more about them back when COBOL and FORTRAN were languages, and you still used flow charts to help write programs. Windows came along and said "shut up and enjoy the ride," and my knowledge base is woefully obsolete, now.

Anything else anyone wants to know, just ask. Meanwhile, thanks for letting me join. I'm off to ask my questions and hope I can find some help.
