I just installed the trial version of Outpost Firewall Pro. Seems fairly easy to understand, and so far I like it. Thought I'd ask
for any comments about it.

Did you know there is a free verison? Thought you would want to know. I have not use it. I like SyGate Personal Edition. But OutPost Firewall Free is recommended here by several members. By all accounts they are very trusted in the community.

Here are the freeware firewalls generally recommended here...

Zone Alarm
SyGate Personal Edition
OutPost Firewall Free
Jetico Personal Free
Kerio Personal Firewall

Hope this is of help. Merry Christmas.

I use Outpost Pro and like it. Sets up itself nicely automatically, but its rule-based system gives you the option to go down and dirty to get everything exactly as you want or need. Not the lightest firewall out there but much better than most. Like the plug-in system, reminds me of Firefox.
