I just came across this program which will track your laptop and phone, and if you notify it as missing or stolen it will be tracked and take a pic of the current user. Pretty handy I reckon.

Read about it at Gizmos

I have just installed on my laptops.

Of course you will not stop a determined thief, but this seems a good start to protecting your gear.

Cheers

Looks very nice. Just a heads up though: The second link doesn't seem to work ;)
I'll use this, very handy!

I clicked on the first link and watched the video but I'm still confused about how it works. The video guides you through downloading the software and creating an account and then it shows a screen that's monitoring your devices, but it doesn't explain how these devices are already being monitored. It seems like they missed as step. Does this software have to be installed on each device?

This looks like a very useful app, especially if you're a student who brings a laptop to class.

edit: I just read their FAQ's and the software needs to be installed on each device. I guess this part is obvious and that's why they left it out of the video.
