When I turn on my computer it says Primary drive 0 not found. Press F1 or F2 to run set up. I press F1 and it starts up fine and works fine. How do I get rid of this msg and just have my computer start up normally. I would like to correct this before I get ready to install Windows 7.
Plus one other minor thing, on my desktop I have all my icons plus on the left side there is the desktop folder information bar. How do I get rid of that as well.
These 2 things are bugging the heck out of me and would like someone to help me out. Like I said I would like to install Windows 7 but want to resolve those problems first.
Thank you very much

Have you made any changes in bios? I suggest you reset bios to defaul settingst and see if that helps.

No not to my knowledge. I am the primary user but that doesnt mean that my children don't use it either from time to time. I will try that and see what happens and post back with results.
Quick question before I do that though...A friend of mine had a black screen error at start up that I posted for her and they told me to go into run-msconfig and do something there. Couldnt I just do that or is this a BIOS problem? Just asking.
Any takers on the desktop folder issue??
Thanks!

I have no idea what the other problem is since I haven't read the thread. As for this situation, please do as I suggested.
